Remembrance Day Poppy Craft at Haringey Libraries
Young children and their families can participate in Remembrance Day activities on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, at several Haringey libraries. Poppy craft sessions will be held at:
- Hornsey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
- Marcus Garvey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
- Muswell Hill Library (3:45pm–4:45pm)
This activity is designed for children aged three and older. After making a poppy, participants can pin it to the Remembrance Day boards at Hornsey or Marcus Garvey Libraries.
Additional Poppy Workshop
On Monday, 17 November 2025, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, children aged five and above can create a field of poppies at Stroud Green and Harringay Library.
Other Arts and Crafts in November
- Comic Art Masterclasses by artist Kevin F Sutherland, known for Beano and Marvel, at Wood Green Library on Saturday, 22 November 2025. Sessions run 10:30am–12:30pm and 2pm–4pm. Attendees will create a comic and a caricature.
- Chess sessions at:
- Hornsey Library: Thursdays, 3:30pm–6pm (bring your own board, all skill levels welcome)
- Marcus Garvey Library: Tuesdays, 3:30pm–5pm (boards available on request; under 16s require adult supervision)
- St Ann’s Library: Mondays, 4pm–5pm during term time (max 12 children per session, ages 7-16)
