Rep. Gabe Vasquez visited students at NMSU on Oct. 24 to discuss career opportunities and STEM pathways.
Vasquez stopped at the Westside Bistro, where he spoke with students majoring in hospitality, tourism, fashion merchandising, and design about work opportunities and owning a business in New Mexico.
He then spoke to STEM students at the Corbett Center Student Union, where the New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (AMP) held a presentation.
“Whatever career path you choose, look to what problems you can solve in your home community,”
Vasquez said, highlighting the importance of New Mexico graduates using their skills in-state.
