The US and Ukraine are engaged in detailed discussions about the possibility of providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, following repeated requests from Ukraine.
These talks come after a fresh wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, as indicated by officials and public statements.
Ukraine's foreign ministry stated that the two sides were in "a very detailed and active discussion about the possibility of providing these missiles," according to ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi.
President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned a conversation with US President Donald Trump, describing it as "very positive and productive."
Zelensky wrote on X: "We discussed opportunities to bolster our air defense, as well as concrete agreements that we are working on to ensure this."
Moscow has strongly reacted to the possibility of Tomahawk transfers to Ukraine.
