Taylor Swift Inspires $2M Fundraiser for Sea Otters
The Monterey Bay Aquarium has raised over $2 million for sea otter conservation in just two days, thanks to Taylor Swift wearing a vintage aquarium shirt.
The shirt, which features two otters floating on their backs, was last produced in the 1990s. After Swift wore it in a release party movie for her new album, the aquarium was flooded with calls about buying the shirt.

In response, the aquarium decided to re-release the garment as part of a special campaign to raise $1.3 million, a nod to Swift's favorite number, according to Liz MacDonald, the aquarium's director of content strategy.
The campaign has already surpassed its goal, raising over $2 million in just two days.
