Tragic Death of Jean Lampron

Jean Lampron, 68, was fatally attacked on her way to work in South Boston on January 13, 2005.

She was walking to a bus stop at around 5:15 a.m. when a man on a bicycle approached her and demanded her pocketbook.

Lampron refused to give it to him, and her attacker allegedly dragged her down the street, beat her, and snatched her purse before fleeing.

A doctor in a passing car stopped and administered CPR to Lampron, but her assailant was never caught.

“If they remember, if they remember anything,”

her grandson, Jimmy Delaney, said in a recent interview, hoping someone will come forward to help solve his grandmother’s killing.

Lampron had previously experienced violence, making this tragic event even more devastating.
