Dundalk IT Expands Midwifery Programme
Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) has announced an expansion of its Higher Diploma in Midwifery programme with a new clinical partnership with Cavan Monaghan General Hospital.
The 18-month, full-time postgraduate programme, funded by the HSE and delivered in partnership with Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, provides a structured pathway for registered general nurses to qualify as professional midwives.
- Students will undertake the majority of their clinical placements at Cavan Monaghan General Hospital.
- This enhances training opportunities closer to home for healthcare professionals in the region.
The programme offers a perfect opportunity for nurses to transition their careers toward a lifelong passion.
