Hong Kong: Former India cricketer Robin Uthappa and Bharat Chipli delivered explosive innings as India defeated Pakistan by two runs via the DLS Method in a rain-affected Pool C clash at the Hong Kong Sixes on Friday.
Uthappa hammered 28 runs off 11 balls, while Chipli added 24 from 13 deliveries to power India to 86 for 4 in six overs. Pakistan started strongly, reaching 41 for 1 after three overs before heavy rain interrupted play.
Following the DLS calculation, Pakistan fell two runs short of the par score. Stuart Binny’s tight bowling, where he gave away only seven runs and took one wicket, proved decisive in India's narrow win.
