John Ferretti Wins Hempstead Supervisor Race

John Ferretti has defeated Joseph Scianablo in the Hempstead supervisor race. Ten supervisor seats were up for election across Long Island, along with various council positions and a mayoral post.

Incumbent Town of Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti declared victory over Democratic candidate Joseph Scianablo at the Nassau GOP headquarters. Nassau Republicans retained all three supervisor seats in the county.

"We took all three towns,"

said Nassau Republican Committee Chairman Joseph G. at the Coral House in Baldwin. Other winners include Supervisor Jennifer DeSena in North Hempstead and Supervisor Joseph Saladino in Oyster Bay, who was reelected.
