Junior Fishing Championship Sees Standout Win and New Talent Emerge
EIGHT young members of the Dorchester and District Angling Society competed in a fishing championship at Whitemoor Lakes near Wimborne for the tenth round of the 2025 Junior Points Championship.
Despite the recent rain, the weather was warm and the fish were reportedly biting well, making for a competitive event. Josh Roe claimed a strong victory with a catch weighing 46lbs 14oz, surpassing his main rival, Austin Scott-Kennedy, who managed 31lbs 14oz.
Austin Scott-Kennedy's lead in the championship has now been trimmed to just seven points with only two matches to go.
