Shaheedi March Held Nationwide
The Anti-discrimination Student Movement held the 'Shaheedi March' across the country to honor the martyrs of the student-people uprising.
The march marked one month since the fall of the autocratic Awami League regime and started from the Raju Memorial Sculpture on Dhaka University campus at 3pm.
- Thousands of students from different educational institutions joined the procession.
- Students chanted slogans in favor of their victory achieved through a bloody mass uprising, also known as 'Red Revolution' or 'Bangla Basanta'.
The uprising, which occurred on August 5, followed the ousting of the 16-year-long fascist regime of Awami League.
