North Hempstead Appeals Islamic Center Expansion Decision
The Town of North Hempstead has appealed the State Supreme Court's decision in the Hillside Islamic Center case, which could lead to the neighborhood around the center being turned into a parking lot.

The plan included adding a third story, increasing square footage, and expanding the parking lot onto surrounding parcels of land to provide 63 parking spaces.
