IRENA Chief Expectations for COP30
Francesco La Camera, Director-General at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), expects sustainable biofuels and social aspects of the energy transition to be key themes at the United Nations climate summit, Conference of the Parties (COP30), in Belem, Brazil.
The conference, scheduled for October 10-21, will see countries present updated national climate commitments and assess progress on renewable energy targets agreed at previous summits.
Targets for sustainable biofuels use and social aspects of the energy transition will be in focus at this year’s COP30.
