British Grandma Speaks Out After 12 Years on Death Row
Lindsay Sandiford, a 69-year-old British grandmother, has spoken out for the first time since her release from death row in Indonesia.
Sandiford was arrested in 2012 after police found 11lb of cocaine in her suitcase, worth around £1.6 million. Despite claiming she was coerced into the crime, she was sentenced to death and spent 12 years in Kerobokan Prison in Bali.
She claimed a local gang threatened to kill her son, forcing her to commit the crime.
A repatriation deal between the UK and Indonesian governments led to her release.
