Team Scharf Stays Alive at Home Hardware Pre-Trials
Team Scharf, led by Krista Scharf, has improved to 2-3 after a 7-6 win against Team Beth Peterson at the Home Hardware Canadian Pre-Trials in Wolfville, N.S.
Scharf, competing in her fifth Canadian pre-trials event, is seeking a record-extending fourth pre-trials victory.
"We've been here quite a few times, and I think probably most of the teams are out there thinking this is another tournament, kind of like another Scotties, where you're on the arena ice and it's a long week too,"
said Scharf. Her team includes third Kendra Lilly, second Ashley Sippala, lead/vice-skip Sarah Potts, and coach Rick Lang.
