UNC Asheville's Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.
Solomon was the only Bulldog to start all 32 games last season, averaging 15.7 points per game, with a team-high field goal percentage of .610, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 51 blocked shots.
Solomon delivered career-best outings, including 24 points against North Florida, 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas, six assists versus Longwood, and six blocks against UNCW.
Toyaz Solomon proved to be a force on both ends of the floor last season.
The Bulldogs were picked second in the preseason.
