Lambeth Council Rejects Proposal to Appoint Councillor Facing Sex Offences to Investigations Committee
Lambeth Council has unanimously voted against a proposal to place Cllr Irfan Mohammed on its Investigations Committee, despite him facing serious criminal charges.
Cllr Mohammed, who was elected as a Labour councillor but now sits as an Independent, was arrested in July on charges of sexual assault, exposure, and controlling and coercive behaviour. He denies all charges.
