Hyderabad Juvenile Home Supervisor Held for Alleged Sexual Assault

A supervisor at a state-run Juvenile Welfare and Correctional Services facility in Hyderabad's Saidabad area has been booked for allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old child.

The 10-year-old boy, from the Madiga Scheduled Caste community, had run away from his family home and was living on the streets before being placed in the juvenile home.

During a recent visit to his family during the Dasara vacations, the boy expressed unwillingness to return to the juvenile home, and upon further questioning by his mother, he revealed the alleged sexual abuse.

The child informed his mother of the alleged sexual abuse after she prodded further about his unwillingness to return to the juvenile home.
