Sanibel Fire Board Update
The Sanibel Fire and Rescue District’s commission received updates on two fire station projects and grant funds during a recent meeting.
Assistant Fire Chief Chris Jackson provided an update on the reconstruction of Station 172 on Sanibel-Captiva Road, stating that the work is in its final weeks.
- The contractor is redoing the epoxy in the bathrooms.
- Electrical work is ongoing.
- Motorola was expected to connect the station tower the following week.
Hopefully, we can keep on that schedule and we won’t be delayed again.
A tentative completion date was set for October.
