Peoria Police Uncover Case of Teens with Loaded Guns
A traffic stop in Peoria on Saturday led to multiple arrests after police found minors with loaded weapons.
According to Peoria Police, officers pulled over a vehicle with five teen boys inside at around 5:30 p.m. During the stop, police developed probable cause to search the car and found a loaded firearm. Further search of the teens revealed another loaded handgun on a 15-year-old.
- Four of the five teens were arrested, including a 15-year-old, a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old, and a 14-year-old.
- The fifth teen was released to his guardian.
- The arrested teens face charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, no FOID, and obstructing identification.
