Sarah Snook, known for her role in Succession, stars in Peacock’s thrilling new series All Her Fault, adapted from Andrea Mara’s bestseller. The eight-episode drama premiered on November 6, 2025, following the story of Marissa, a self-made wealth manager whose son, Milo, mysteriously disappears during a playdate.
Marissa and her husband Peter (played by Jake Lacy from Apples Never Fall) believed Milo was safely with a classmate, but when Marissa goes to pick him up, he is nowhere to be found. This disappearance sets off the intense drama of the series.
Snook, who also serves as an executive producer, spoke at a recent press conference about the emotional difficulty of portraying such a traumatic experience. She emphasized the importance of grounding her performance in truth rather than hysteria.
“It is high drama, but like getting into this hysterical, histrionic overreacting … like finding the kernel of truth in these things. Like, ‘What is it like to have your child go missing? What is that like?’ For this person like that, that was the hardest thing to constantly make sure that we were delving down into what is the truthful version of this.”
Snook also revealed how emotionally demanding the role was during filming, noting her constant tears and need to find varied emotional expressions.
“We’re during the first read through and I write on the first page: ‘Must find different ways to cry.’ Because I was crying all the time, dealing with what’s happening. Finding different levels of like, ‘Okay, this is level 10.’”
This series showcases Sarah Snook’s intense and nuanced portrayal of a mother grappling with unimaginable fear after her son’s disappearance, combining gripping drama with emotional authenticity.
