Unlike Constellation, which disappointed investors, Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) reported positive results this morning, beating earnings expectations by five cents with a Q3 profit of $1.81 per share. Revenue also surpassed estimates, totaling $8.5 billion.
Duke Energy issued a full-year earnings forecast between $6.25 and $6.35 per share, with the midpoint slightly below Wall Street’s consensus of $6.32.
Despite the cautious guidance for the full year, Duke’s stock remains steady, trading flat compared to Thursday’s close and outperforming other utilities today.
