Aztec Minerals Reports High-Grade Gold and Silver from Tombstone Project
Aztec Minerals (TSX-V: AZT / WKN A2DRF0) announces impressive results from its Tombstone project in Arizona. The 2025 drilling program continues to confirm widespread, near-surface gold-silver oxide mineralization at the Contention target area.
Key Drill Highlights
- Drill hole TR25-17 intersected 36.5 meters at 8.14 g/t gold and 49.67 g/t silver starting from 9.1 meters depth.
- Within that, a higher grade section of 4.6 meters with 58.5 g/t gold and 158.0 g/t silver was encountered beginning at 16.7 meters.
- In total, Aztec has completed 29 reverse circulation (RC) holes, with 16 results still awaited.
Exploration in the Head Center Area
In the northern Contention target, the previously unexplored “Head Center Area” was tested. Drill hole TR25-17 intersected two near-surface oxide mineral zones: a broad main zone of 36.5 meters and a deeper section of 16.7 meters grading 0.42 g/t gold and 1.0 g/t silver.
- Adjacent hole TR25-17A delivered 18.2 meters averaging 0.58 g/t gold and 0.58 g/t silver, equating to 53.08 g/t silver equivalent, but ended in an open stope over 7.6 meters.
- TR25-16, 45 meters south, intersected 50.2 meters at 0.67 g/t gold and 42.67 g/t silver, plus a secondary zone of 9.1 meters at 0.92 g/t gold and 8.7 g/t silver.
“The ongoing drilling program validates the extensive gold-silver oxide mineralization near surface, reinforcing the project's strong potential,” stated the company.
Aztec Minerals’ Tombstone drilling results reveal significant near-surface gold and silver grades that hold promising exploration potential.
