Community Day Returns to Ontario Theatres with Free Movies and Deals

Cineplex’s annual Community Day is back for its 13th year, inviting movie lovers across Ontario to enjoy free films and discounted snacks on November 15. The event will be hosted at select Cineplex theatres and entertainment venues.

Free Movies and Games

Attendees can watch family-friendly movies at no cost, with tickets available only in person starting at 9 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Film selections for this year include “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” “Sing 2,” and “The Wild Robot.”

In addition, guests can enjoy complimentary gaming sessions at participating The Rec Room and Playdium locations, along with free 30-minute play cards or tokens at Cineplex’s XSCAPE arcades.

“Cineplex Community Day is consistently one of my favourite days of the year, as we welcome guests from communities across the country to join us for a morning of free movies or to engage in some friendly competition at The Rec Room or Playdium,” said Ellis Jacob, president and CEO of Cineplex.

Discounted Snacks

Visitors can also grab affordable movie treats during the event. Regular popcorn, drinks, and select candy items will be available for $3 plus tax until 11 a.m.
