Network 10 celebrates The Project host Carrie Bickmore, who received the Medal of the Order of Australia (General Division) for her contributions to broadcast media and brain cancer awareness.
This award was announced in the Queen’s Birthday 2019 Honours list. It recognizes Carrie’s 18-year career in television and radio, along with her significant efforts raising awareness for brain cancer.
Using her platform, Carrie highlighted brain cancer awareness, urging everyone to participate by wearing a beanie in support of the cause.

The overwhelming support led to the creation of Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer initiative.
