Tickets for the new EuroNight sleeper service are expected to go on sale starting 4 November. The route will extend Europe’s growing network of overnight trains, connecting Switzerland, Denmark, and Sweden.
The proposed service is awaiting approval from the Swiss Parliament. If confirmed, the train will begin operating three times a week from mid-April 2026. It will link Basel in Switzerland with Copenhagen in Denmark and Malmö in Sweden, covering approximately 1,400 kilometres.
The train will stop in several major cities along the route:
“The new service makes climate-friendly travel to Northern Europe even more accessible and meets the growing demand for sustainable, cross-border mobility,” said a spokesperson for Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
The upcoming EuroNight route aims to improve eco-friendly travel between Switzerland and Scandinavia, offering a comfortable, sustainable overnight connection across 1,400 kilometres of Europe.
