The British chef famous for his love of linen and sauvignon blanc is set to open his Australian flagship restaurant. Scheduled to launch on December 1, Rick Stein’s latest venture will be located in Sydney’s Coogee Beach, within the recently renovated InterContinental Hotel.
Rick Stein, known for his relaxed yet sophisticated style, said,
“Sydney’s Coogee Beach is the perfect location for our flagship Australian restaurant. It’s relaxed yet sophisticated, with that incredible connection to the ocean that has always inspired my cooking. For us, this feels like coming home.”
This new venue will act as a local flagship alongside other regional NSW restaurants run by Stein and his wife, Sarah, including Bannisters by the Sea in Mollymook and Bannisters Port Stephens.
The inaugural menu, curated by head chef Colin Chun from W Taipei, will showcase local and seasonal seafood. The space is designed to accommodate both casual and refined dining experiences, complemented by an adjoining bar.
Bookings are now open via ricksteinatcoogeebeach.com.au.
