Cambrian College is introducing a new Dental Assisting program starting this January to meet Northern Ontario dental practices' demand for qualified staff. The program blends online courses with weekend sessions on campus, offering students a flexible 10-month schedule to earn their certificate while continuing to work.
Students also participate in a seven-week placement, gaining practical experience in a dental practice setting.
“Dental assistants play a vital role in supporting dentists and dental hygienists, and enhancing patient care,” said Rachel Steels, dean of Cambrian’s School of Health Sciences.
