Rodborough & Wallbridge Community Interest Company (CIC) has been awarded £12,690 through the National Lottery Awards for All program. This funding will support a series of improvements at the Wallbridge Fields site in Stroud.
The grant, made possible by National Lottery players, aims to enhance the site’s appeal for the local community while improving its natural environment.
Liz Hillary, a director of the CIC, said: "We are thrilled to have received this support from the National Lottery Community Fund. This grant will allow us to make real improvements to Wallbridge Fields, ensuring it remains a welcoming and inspiring space for local people, while enhancing its value for nature. The improvements will be carried out over the next two years. Community days are planned to engage local residents in celebrating and enjoying Wallbridge Fields.
