Remembrance Day Events in Brampton on November 11
The City of Brampton will host two Remembrance Day events on November 11: a parade and a remembrance ceremony at city hall.
Event Details
- A ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Ken Whillans Square, in front of city hall (2 Wellington St. W.) near the Brampton Cenotaph.
- A sunrise service will be held at 7:55 a.m. at Meadowvale Cemetery Church (7732 Mavis Rd.).
Recognition of Other Veterans’ Days
The city also observes Black Veterans Day on November 7 and Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8.
Closures and Hours on November 11
- Some businesses and government services will be closed, including Canada Post offices, passport services, Service Canada locations, and most banks.
- Beer Stores and LCBO locations will be open with limited hours; Brampton locations will open at noon.
- City hall and certain city facilities will be closed.
- Brampton Transit will run on its regular weekday schedule. Veterans with medals, berets, uniforms, blazers, War Veteran Passes, or service papers can ride free all day.
- All Brampton parks and recreation centres remain open during regular hours.
- All Brampton Library branches will be closed.
