Ohio State bolstered its 2026 recruiting class on Thursday by securing a commitment from four-star cornerback Jay Timmons. This decision came shortly after Timmons visited the campus during the Buckeyes' 38-14 victory over Penn State. He flipped his commitment from Florida State, where he had been committed since June 24.
Timmons attends Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. He is nationally ranked as the No. 136 player in the country. His father, Lawrence Timmons, played college football at Florida State and had an 11-year NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins.
