‘Book Fest Jr.’ looks to engage kids with reading

Engaging Kids with Reading through Book Fest Jr.

The new 'Crozet Book Fest Jr.' will take place on Saturday, October 25 at the Crozet Library, aiming to engage kids in reading, learning, and imagination.

"We're teaching kids that books matter," said Jennifer Bryeton, co-founder of CharlottesvilleFamily. "Especially in this day and age, there's a lot of competition from the digital world, and I think recognizing the importance of literature and thought leaders, imagination builders is really, really important."

The festival is an extension of the Crozet Book Festival, offering a day of story times, crafts, children's book author meet-and-greets, and more for kids and their families.

Author's summary: Book Fest Jr. promotes reading among kids.
