A cyber attack on Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in August may have been the result of a year-long campaign by hackers.
New analysis by Deep Specter Research suggests that malicious activity targeting JLR began in late 2023, coinciding with the company's efforts to replace its digital and production systems.
According to Shaya Feedman, Deep Specter co-founder, the August incident was "definitely not a spontaneous attack" and suggested it was "state orchestrated."
Feedman cited the campaign's duration, financial resources committed, and high level of infiltration as evidence.
Author's summary: JLR faced a year-long cyber attack campaign.
