"Hey, look at this,"said a fellow detainee, showing Juarez his tray with chicken sitting in a pool of blood. Juarez found the same issue with his own food, prompting a collective outcry from the detainees, who refused to eat the contaminated meal.
Later, around 1 a.m., officers provided sandwiches as an alternative. The incident highlights the concerns surrounding the conditions and treatment of detainees at the facility.
