The U.S. State Department has condemned the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for detaining dozens of leaders of the unregistered house Zion Church in China.
"This crackdown further demonstrates how the CCP exercises hostility towards Christians who reject Party interference in their faith and choose to worship at unregistered house churches,"
The State Department urges the immediate release of the detained leaders, including prominent pastor Mingri 'Ezra' Jin. The statement was released on October 12, 2025.
