Gardaí are investigating the discovery of two bodies at a residential property in Doolin, Co. Clare.
The remains of an elderly man and woman were found in a house near Doolin late Saturday night. Gardaí and units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Ennistymon station attended the scene.
The bodies of the deceased, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 90s, were discovered inside the property and have been removed to the mortuary in University Hospital Limerick for post-mortem examinations.
"The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation."
A Garda spokesperson confirmed the discovery, stating that the investigation is ongoing.
