The Gradam RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta 2025 award will be presented to Mayo native Póilín Ní Chiaráin at Oireachtas na Samhna in Belfast.
This award is given as a mark of respect and recognition to individuals or groups for their work on behalf of the Irish language and the Irish-speaking community.
Póilín Ní Chiaráin is a renowned! journalist, respected for her work as a reporter, journalist, columnist, and expert on political affairs and other topics.
She was born in Dooagh, Erris, County Mayo, and educated at Coláiste Mhuire, Tourmakeady, and later at the University of Galway.
Póilín Ní Chiaráin is one of the most accomplished journalists of our time.
The award will be presented during the Corn Uí Riada competition on Saturday, 1 November.
