The 11th edition of the German Hard Enduro, Getzenrodeo, has sparked concerns about the event's future. Despite its immense popularity and success, the organisers are uncertain about continuing the event due to the overwhelming commitment and costs involved.
“It is a lot of work, you understand, and we put many hours into the planning and running, but we do it as a passion and as a team. At this time we are not sure if we want to carry on because we only want to do this if the will and the desire is there to put in the hard work.”
Co-organiser Matthias Schubert expressed these concerns during the 2025 race weekend, which saw home hero Mani Lettenbichler claim the '25 world title. The event's future remains uncertain, leaving fans and participants alike wondering if this was indeed the final dance for Getzenrodeo.
