UND music therapy alumna now director of returned program, adds more neuroscience and business to curriculum

UND Music Therapy Program Revival

A University of North Dakota music therapy alumna, Carly Flaagan, has returned to her alma mater as the director of the revived music therapy program.

Flaagan, who graduated with a degree in music therapy, spent eight years in Colorado earning a master's degree, practicing music therapy, and running an internship program. She jumped at the opportunity to become the program's director, bringing her expertise and experience back to Grand Forks.

I had it on my radar... I had a wonderful experience here as an undergraduate music therapy major.

Under her direction, the program will incorporate more neuroscience and business into its curriculum. Flaagan and her husband have relocated to Grand Forks, marking a new chapter for the program and its students.
