Google Restricts Wear OS Clock App to Pixel Watches
Google has announced that its Wear OS Clock app will be restricted to Pixel watches, similar to its Weather app for wearables in September.
New Wear OS devices from other manufacturers will have to rely on alternative clock apps, as the Google Clock app will no longer be available for download on non-Pixel watches.
However, users who already have the Clock app on their non-Pixel watches will still be able to use it, although it will not receive new updates.
With your favorite watch brands offering their own default clock apps on Wear OS, Google’s Clock app (alarm, timer, and stopwatch) is no longer available for download on Wear OS smartwatches – except for pre-installed on the Pixel Watch.
