Southern Miss School of Humanities Offering New Degree in Philosophy, Religion and Law
A new undergraduate degree program at The University of Southern Mississippi offers students critical thinking, writing, and reading comprehension skills while examining contemporary topics related to the human condition.
The Philosophy, Religion and Law (PRL) interdisciplinary degree provides advanced study in philosophy, world religions and law, preparing students for diverse careers and advanced degrees.
Guided degree pathways help students develop skills such as critical thinking, reading comprehension, and argumentative writing, as well as self-awareness to lead flourishing lives.
PRL majors examine challenging questions about value, society, culture, and human history, and can specialize in one of three cross-disciplinary areas:
- Religion and World Cultures
- Ethics
- Philosophy and Law
