Caught in the Act: Officer Sees Two Smoking Meth in Missoula
A Missoula Police Department officer observed a white Buick LeSabre parked in the 900 block of Greenough Drive on October 23, 2025.
The officer noticed two subjects inside the vehicle, one of whom was later identified as 35-year-old Mary Hansen. The officer saw the orange glow of a lighter being used multiple times over a short period, leading him to believe that the occupants were consuming dangerous drugs.
The driver was using a lighter held to a white and clear glass pipe with a bulbous end, and Hansen was seen taking the pipe and consuming what appeared to be methamphetamine.
The officer approached the vehicle, commanding both subjects to place their hands on the dashboard for safety purposes, at which point Hansen had the suspected methamphetamine pipe in her hand.
