New Higgins Waterfront Project
A Missoula developer is reimagining the former Missoulian site with 80 new homes and a rooftop restaurant.
The project aims to better fit the city’s vision for waterfront development. Cole Bergquist, the developer, has controlled the site for the past few years, but earlier plans were met with controversy.
Bergquist is now partnering with Hawkins, a Boise-based development group, to bring the new design to life. He says the new design is more efficient and follows the downtown Missoula master plan.
The new design is a "perfect fit" for the next chapter, according to Bergquist.
The project will feature a rooftop bar and 80 new homes, redeveloping the former Missoulian building site off Higgins Avenue.
