Tribunal Member Sanctioned
A tribunal member has been sanctioned for using her phone and laptop during hearings.
Dr Sujata Chadha, a medical member of the social entitlement chamber, allegedly spent part of her time during hearings sending personal text messages and emails.
The Guide to Judicial Conduct reminds office holders of the need for diligence and care in the discharge of their judicial duties.
A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO) stated that Dr Chadha acknowledged her conduct was "inappropriate and unprofessional".
