Girls State Cross Country: Ogden's Avery Barton Takes Runner-Up
Avery Barton, from Ogden High, finished as the state runner-up in the 3A cross country championships at Sugar House Park with a time of 17:57.31.
She was beaten by Carbon senior Rozlyn Stowe, who took the 3A championship with a time of 17:12.67.
This was Barton's third time running the course and her first time representing Ogden, having transferred from Bonneville this fall.
Avery Barton reunited with her old teammates earlier this fall during her second career City-County victory.
Avery Barton has a new challenge ahead.
