The Cambridgeshire police force is hosting its annual Postathon event this Friday (31), as part of the global Control Room Week campaign.
This event will provide the public with an insight into the daily pressures faced by control room staff, who deal with a high volume of calls, web chats, and incidents on a daily basis.
The control room staff, including call takers, dispatchers, and Investigation Management Unit (IMU) operators, work 24 hours a day, seven days a week to support the people of Cambridgeshire.
The Postathon is held during Control Room Week, a global campaign that celebrates the vital work of emergency service control rooms around the world.
