Plans to convert the Chequers Inn, a Grade II listed pub in Eynesbury, St Neots, into a three-bedroom home have been approved.
The pub closed in 2021 due to the financial impact of Covid-19 and has remained vacant since. Despite two previous unsuccessful applications in 2021 and 2023, further amendments were submitted, including changes to the kitchen, first floor, and car park.
A planning statement said no one willing to take on the pub could be identified despite a "robust" marketing exercise.
