Another cricket season has concluded at Harecroft Road, Wisbech, with the team finishing sixth in the Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Premier League.
Stephen Wallis, Fenland Citizen correspondent, spoke with skipper James Williams to discuss the season.
Regarding their final league position, James Williams said:
I think a fair reflection in the end. We had a number of injuries that impacted our bowling attack and with George Gowler staying in Leicester for the second half of the season, we lost our firepower a bit.
However, he noted that the available players
gave everything and we actually played some really good cricket at times.
James Williams highlighted Jonny Garner as one player who made a significant impression during the season.
