SIAD to Deliver ASU for Pacifico Mexinol Project

Industrial gas group SIAD will provide an air separation unit (ASU) for the Pacifico Mexinol ultra-low-carbon methanol project in Sinaloa, Mexico.

The supplied ASU will produce around 3,500 tonnes of high-purity oxygen per day, essential for gasification and carbon capture in methanol production.

Pacifico Mexinol is expected to produce 0.35 million tonnes of green methanol and 1.8 million tonnes of blue methanol, making it the world’s largest ultra-low-carbon methanol project.

The site will be operational in 2029 and become one of the world’s largest producers of green hydrogen and green methanol.

The project will be the largest standalone ultra-low-carbon chemical production facility globally.

Author's summary: SIAD provides ASU for Pacifico Mexinol project.
