Lafayette Residents Oppose Proposed Hotel Near Silo Neighborhood
A new 124-room Echo Suites hotel has been proposed for construction in Lafayette, which would be the city's second hotel.
Developer Hix Snedeker has requested a modification to the city's 35-foot height limit to allow for a nearly 50-foot building at its tallest point.
The proposed hotel location is just west of U.S. 287 and south of Arapahoe Road, near Kohl's, 24 Hour Fitness, and Tractor Supply Co.
Residents are urging the city's leadership to reject the proposal, citing concerns about the hotel's proximity to the growing Silo neighborhood.
The hotel would be a much-needed amenity, according to the developer.
