Thousands of residents in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley experienced a power outage on Saturday morning, October 25, due to a car crash.
The crash, which occurred around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road, caused heavy damage to multiple transformers, leading to an extended delay in restoring power.
The Sedro-Woolley police stated that the motor vehicle crash likely led to the large power outage.
Power was mostly restored to residents by Saturday afternoon, with the remaining customers expected to have power restored by 2:30 p.m., according to PSE.
